Lexmark X4550 Review

Lexmark-X4550.jpgtrustedreviews have a review of the Lexmark X4550 “The X4550 is styled in ice-white, brushed aluminium and light grey and follows Lexmark’s usual, rounded-slab design. The top, white section holds an A4 flatbed scanner, which can be used for scanning and standalone copying. Just beneath this is a control panel with a well laid out set of easy-to-use controls. This includes a two-line, backlit LCD display, which is particularly well used by Lexmark to provide copious status and instruction messages.”

Xerox Phaser 6360 VN Colour Laser Printer

Xerox-Phaser-6360VN.jpgtrustedreviews have a review of the Xerox Phaser 6360VN Colour Laser Printer “This is a big printer, weighing in at over 35kg and bulging out at the front and top. It’s best suited to being mounted on its own stand and tucked away in the corner of an office, rather than taking up most of a desk. There are some unusual design choices, such as positioning the four colour toner cartridges under a translucent purple cover at the back of the machine’s top panel. While this makes them supremely easy to replace, it’s also an invitation to tampering.”

Olympus P-11 Review

Olympus_P-11.jpgprinterspot have a review of the Olympus P-11 and write, “The P-11’s design is simple, practical, tidy, and stylish — somewhat Bauhaus, somewhat Star Trek Borg cube (so I’ve heard). Power and USB cords tuck into its side sliding panel and extend conveniently out the back so you can position the printer toward the back of a desk or table.

With one button (power) and three indicator lights (ribbon, paper, access), the P-11 makes printing difficult to screw up. Easy printing also means you don’t have any manual options to control printing from the printer itself. Even direct PictBridge printing (through the USB port to the left of the indicator lights) only offers you the ability to select which images to print, the number of image copies, two sizes of print (4 x 6 and 3.5 x 5 inches), and with or without borders.”

It is a nice basic photo printer for personal use. The printer has decent printing speed. It has a stylish looking box-shape. Compatible with Mac too.

HP Photosmart A716 Compact Photo Printer

HP_Photosmart_A716.jpgPCMAG have a review of the HP Photosmart A716 and write “One big difference between the 475 and the A716 is that the A716 boosts the hard drive capacity from 1.5GB to 4GB, almost tripling the number of photos you can store. As with the 475, when you use the A716’s video connection to view stored photos on a TV, you can use the printer’s remote control to move through the photos, edit them, and create and view slide shows, almost as if there’s a photo album on your TV. But unlike an album, if a friend or relative likes a particular photo you’re looking at, you can press a button on the remote and print a copy.”

The HP Photosmart A716 Compact Photo Printer delivers lots of features, great-looking output, and, in an important step forward for HP, nearly waterproof photos.

The Lexmark C770n

Lexmark_C770n.jpgpcmag.com have a review of the Lexmark C770n, in this they find if you have medium-size office with light printing needs, the C770n would be overkill. This printer is for high-volume printing, the C770n’s standard input capacity is 600 sheets, divided into a 500-sheet tray and a 100-sheet multipurpose feeder.

Setting up the C770n on a network is typical simply connect a network cable and power cord and run the fully automated installation program.

Lexmark rates the C770n at 25 pages per minute for both monochrome and color output, text and graphics quality are far more important than photos for business use, and the C770n does well on both.

Overall - Fast. Excellent paper-handling options. High-capacity toner cartridges. Prints PDF and other files from USB keys.

Epson Stylus Photo RX580

Epson-Stylus-Photo-RX580.jpgPCMag.com have a reviewed the Epson Stylus Photo RX580 where they say “The RX580’s one real shortcoming is that you can get more AIO for the same price elsewhere. In particular, the Canon MP600 offers essentially the same output quality, faster speed, and additional features (including two paper trays instead of one). If you must have the ability to print on printable discs, the RX580 is the right choice, and you won’t be unhappy with it. But it’s hard to recommend it otherwise, unless you find it at a lower-than-expected price.”

Features :

Connection Type: USB
Maximum Standard Paper Size: Legal
Number of Cartridges: 6
Number of Ink Colors: 6
Direct Printing from Cameras: Yes
Direct Printing from Media Slots: CompactFlash Type I, CompactFlash Type II, Microdrive, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Pro Duo, Secure Digital, MultiMedia Card, xD-Picture Card, MiniSD Card

Zink Printer - Fits in Your Pocket

zink.jpgPrinters just get smaller all the time, this handheld printer from ZINK prints a nice 2×3 picture while your out and about. Basically the printer is about the size of an average mobile phone and print off pictures using a specialised piece of paper.

The picture is created by heating up and putting varying amounts of pressure on the polymer paper. With no liquid ink needed you also avoid the mess of leaking ink.Pricing is expected to be around $99 for the printer and around $19.95 for a 100 pack of paper.

The printer in still in testing at the moment but ZINK could be onto a winner here.

Canon Pixma MP160

Canon-Pixma-MP160.jpgThe Canon PIXMA MP160 is a very good basic no-compromise all-In-One photo printer. With an impressive array of accessories packet into the box - These include: easy to use software, a one year warranty, 2 ink cartridges for immediate installation (1 black and 1 colour), two additional cartridges (one black and one colour) and Canon Photo Paper Pro; 15 sheets of 8.5×11 and a packet of 20 sheets of 4×6.

it’s a bargain for a machine that prints, scans, and copies, especially given its surprisingly good print quality, and don’t expect much from the scan quality.

The MP160 has a PictBridge port on the front of the printer which lets you print photos directly from a PictBridge-compatible digital camera or a digital video camera but the lack of an LCD might be an issue.

The printer is a good All-In-One but you get what you pay for: Simple, Basic, Cheap. If your on a budget this might be for you but you do missout on some features that are available on photo printers within $20-30.

Panasonic KX-FLB851E Printer

Panasonic-KX-FLB851E.jpgIf you looking for a laser-based multi-function machine take a quick look at the Panasonic KX-FLB851E, this is ideal for mono printing copying and faxing and colour scanning. With three output bins (which you don’t see often) this can really help separate out its key office functions.

It’s amid at the heavy user and kind of look like your traditional office photocopier than a multifunction device, which makes it robust. The control panel lies along its long side and its 250-sheet paper tray also opens from the side, so you stack paper into it landscape fashion, rather than portrait.

If you require a second tray this brings the sheet capacity to 750.

Overall this is a robust and serviceable office multifunction machine, maybe you’ll find printers from rival manufacturers for a cheaper price.
