he HP Photosmart Pro B9180 printer is designed for photographers who need fast, durable printing up to A3+ in size, believe it or not the B9180 uses eight large cartridges of specially developed Vivera pigment-based inks and has four print heads with over 1800 nozzles per head.
This printer is really aimed at professional photographers and semi-professionals but don’t let that put you off if you’re looking for quality. If you’re a Photoshop user HP have included a Photoshop plugins called ProPrint plug-in for Photoshop. The have also included the HP Colour Centre software.
Overall, the HP B9180 is hard to beat. If your looking for quality prints this might just be the printer for you. With the new pigment inks this printer give you more colour and dynamic range from their prints than what was previously available.
Where can this printer be viewed in Ireland? I am going to buy a high quality A3 photo printer and the spec. of the HP 9180 interests me but I’ve been looking for the past months and can’t find one. I’m thinking I’ll just forget HP and go for the Epson 2400. If HP can’t show one to a prospective purchaser, I shudder to think what the after sales service would be like.
